Hundreds of customers crowd the Carrollton Chick-fil-A Wednesday at lunch time on “Chick-fil-A Appreciation Day,” which was organized in response to criticism of the fast food chain after CEO Dan Cathy said he supported the biblical definition of marriage. David Daniels, operator of the Carrollton restaurant, estimated that approximately as many as 10,000 customers had patronized the Chick-fil-A through 5 p.m., and said that the crowds were as heavy for dinner as they were during lunch. Former Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee, a Baptist minister, declared Wednesday “Chick-fil-A Appreciation Day.”
